Mariel Weber grew up in Canoga Park, California, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Economics, cum laude, from California State University of Northridge in 2010. In May 2013, she received with her Juris Doctor and certification in Advanced Legal Research and Writing from Florida Coastal School of Law. While in law school, Mariel was the Chief Financial Officer of the Corporate and Business Law Society. Upon graduation, she received the distinguished pro bono honors service award for her work with Jacksonville Area Legal Aid.

Mariel began her career defending homeowners from foreclosure and prosecuting consumer rights complaints against various banks for violations of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street and Consumers Protection Act. She represented homeowners in all phases of litigation, including defending numerous bench trials across the State of Florida. She simultaneously earned her Master of Business Administration degree from University of Florida in December 2016.

Mariel went on to serve as in-house counsel for a consulting company, where she oversaw all legal aspects of the business by ensuring legal conformity, minimizing probability of exposure, and negotiating all joint ventures, reverse mergers, partnership and corporate financing agreements. Mariel joined Williams, Leininger & Cosby, P.A. in 2019 and focuses primarily on insurance coverage disputes, declaratory actions, and PIP suits.
